Dorothy A. Headlee Member of Mt. Calvary Methodist Church Dorothy A. Headlee, 76, of Carmichaels (Khedive), died Saturday, October 13, 2001, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. She was born December 17, 1924, in Carmichaels, a daughter of Ewing and Cecile Knight Areford. Mrs. Headlee was a homemaker and had lived in Khedive since 1956. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Methodist Church in Garards Fort. On September 25, 1943, she married Glenn Headlee, who died March 3, 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Popernack of York and Victoria Everly of Carmichaels; a son, Gary Headlee of Grayson, Ky.; five grandchildren, Michael, John and Joseph Popernack and Angela and Jonathan Everly; four brothers, Frank and James Areford, both of Waynesburg, William Areford of Nemacolin and Samuel Areford of Sycamore; and three sisters, Sarah Boone and Letha Vernon, both of Greensboro, and Betty Rockwell of Jefferson. Deceased are four brothers, Walker, Ewing, Daniel and Dale Areford. HEADLEE - Friends of Dorothy A. Headlee of Carmichaels (Khedive), who died Saturday, October 13, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Home Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, with Pastor Kenneth Haines officiating.
