Floyd W. Headlee, 77, of 170 East Greene Street, Waynesburg, formerly of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1, died at 10:45 A. M. Monday, Aug. 26, 1968, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although he had been in failing health, he had been seriously ill for only a few days.

A son of the late Lafayette and Della Headlee Headlee, he was born May 23, 1891, in Perry Twp., near Mt. Morris, and resided all hi life on the Headlee homestead on Shannon Run until moving to Waynesburg a year ago. Mr. Headlee was a retired farmer and stock raiser and until forced to retire because of failing health he had served as a justice of the peace in Perry Township.

He was a member of the Shannon Run Methodist Church. Mr. Headlee married twice. First his wife, Ottie E. Headlee, died January 29, 1955. To this marriage were born two daughters; Mrs Homer (Evelyn) Fox, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1, and Mrs. Guy (Ruth) Patterson, of Laurel, Md., and one son, Willis L. Headlee, of Silver Springs, Md.

Also surviving are his second wife, Rachel Cole Henderson Headlee; two step-daughters;Mrs. Rea (Elaine) Howard, of Glen Burnie, Md., and Mrs. William (Edith) Boon, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3; a step-son, Ralph C. Henderson, of Waynesburg; 13 grandchildren;two half brothers; Earl Headlee, of Dublin, Ohio and Delbert Headlee, of Plain City, Ohio; a half sister, Mrs. Grace Walker, of Plain City, Ohio and a step brother, Glenn Lemley, of Spraggs, R. D. 1.

A brother, Everette, and two half brothers are deceased.
