James Clark Headlee Obituary

James Clark Headley, 68, of 37 Arbors Apartments, Carmichaels, died at 6:30 A. M. Sunday, Jan. 6, 1985, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 24, 1916, in Monongahela, son of the late Emanuel Frank and Jessie Smith Headlee, and had formerly resided in Garards Fort and Waynesburg. Both his first wife, Dorothy L. Brown Headlee, and his second wife, Dessie Fox Headlee, are deceased.

Mr. Headlee was a veteran of World War 11 and a retired employee of H. J. Heintz Co. He was a member of Cumberland Post 400, American Legion, Carmichaels.

Surviving are a son, Barry C. Headlee of Holyoke, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Sharon) Heckler of Punxsutawney; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six stepsons, Franklin, John, Allen, Tom, Delbert and Robert Fox, and six step-daughters, Evelyn Stewart, Emma Belford, Myrtle Morris, Jannie Hardy, Betty Wilson and Agnes Lemunyon.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with interment in Garards Fort Cemetery.
