Letha Pearl Headlee, 95, of Pataskala, died at her residence Monday, January
31, 2000. Born October 31, 1904 at Mt. Morris, Pa. to the late Benson
Strosnider Headlee and Louanna Stephens Headlee. Both parents and a brother
Paul Theodore Headlee are deceased. She has lived in Ohio since 1914,
graduated from Pataskala High School in 1924, received Bachelor's of Science
Degree and a Master of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University. Her
teaching career included the last semester of the Alward Elementary School
that was open in 1928 in Licking County, a year at Ten Sleep, Wyoming, many
years at Franklin University in Columbus and many years at Newark Senior High
School. She was a member of the Pataskala United Methodist Church, United
Methodist Women, the Loumeadise Circle, the Licking County Retired Teachers
Association, the Advance Club and Delta Kappa Gamma. She is survived by
cousins, Glenn and Erna Temple, Cheryl and Wayne Jenkins, Nancy and Pat
Fleming, David Temple, all of Lancaster, Oh. Friends may call at Warren F.
Kauber Funeral Home, Pataskala on Thursday, February 3, 2000 from 1-2 p.m.,
where funeral service will start at 2 p.m. Rev. John Ball officiating.
Interment Pataskala cemetery.
