Chester P. Headley

Retired truck driver

Chester Phillips Headley, 89, of Parkview Drive, Westover, W.Va., died Saturday, April 17, 1999, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

He was born August 4, 1909, in Brave, a son of R. Blaine and Pearl Headley.

He was a truck driver for Baker & Coombs Construction for 30 years and a member of the Teamsters union.

Mr. Headley was Methodist.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Jones of Morgantown and Carol Headley of Westover; a son, Gerald Headley of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Blaine Headley, Randy Jones, Jenny Delaney and Jayne Walls; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased are his wife, Hazel Pearl Wade Headley; and a sister, Hazel Kendall.


HEADLEY - Friends of Chester Phillips Headley of Parkview Drive, Westover, W.Va., who died Saturday, April 17, 1999, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, with the Rev. Dr. Stacy L. Groscup officiating. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
