EDWIN C. HEADLEY
Edwin C. Headley, 32, Spraggs R. D. 1, World War II veteran, died unexpectedly at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, 1957 at his home near Brock. Mr. Headley had not been in good health for some time. A lifelong resident of the Brock community, he was born March 17, 1925, a son of Otley and Gladys Whitlatch Headley of Brock, who survive. He was a member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Church at Brock and UMWA Local 6159 at Bobtown where he was employed at the Shannopin Mine of the Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp. He served with the U. S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Jean Moore Headley; two sons and a daughter, Danny, Charles and Donna Sue; two brothers, David O. Headley and Dwight Headley of Spraggs R. D. 1, and a sister, Mrs. Jean Tennant of Brave.
HEADLEY - Friends of Edwin C. Headlley of Spraggs R. D. 1, who died Friday, May 31, 1957 will be received after 7 p.m. today (Saturday) at the George I. Church Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden street. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at the Valley Chapel Methodist Church at Brock with Rev. Orville Pyle and Rev. Dean Hughes officiating.
