Eskie O. Headley, 80, of Route 434, Grecicy, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday, May 17, 1982, at the
home of his son, William Headley. He had been ill for the past nine weeks.
He was born September 29, 1901, in Brock, a son of William E. and Ida E. Fox Headley. He spent his early life in Brock, lived most of his live in Perry and Whiteley townships, and spent four years in Maryland. For the past 10 years he had resided in Newton, N.J. and in Grecicy. For 47 years he was a teacher in Perry and Whiteley townships and for four years in Maryland. He retired in 1972. Mr. Headley was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, the Pennsylvania Association of Retired Teachers and the senior citizens of Newton, N.J. His first wife, Gladys Whitehill Headley, died November 23, 1972, Surviving from that marriage are two daughters, Mrs. Percy (Marjorie) Clark of Metamora, Mich., and Mrs. Eugene (Hilda) Lieve of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, Eldron Headley of Lynchburg, Va., and William Headley of Greeley; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his second wife, Louise Burke Headley. A sister, Freda Margaret Headley, and two brothers, Lloyd and Odie Headley, are deceased.
