Francis Marion Headley, 72, of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, July 6, 1947, at his home. He had
been ill for two weeks and seriously ill only a few hours from a heart condition.
Mr. Headley was born Feb. 10, 1875, in Perry Township, the son of the late Samuel and Nancy Steel Headley. A farmer, he had spent most of his life in Greene County. He had long been a member of the Assembly of God Church at Brave. He is survived by his wife, Laura South Headley; two sons, Cecil Headley, of Pine Bank, RD 1, and Homer Headley, of Waynesburg, RD 4; three daughters, Mrs. Earl Renner, of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Oren Eddy, of Pine Bank, RD 1 and Miss Grace Headley, at home; seven grandchildren; and one brother, J. S. Headley, of West Middletown, Pa. A daughter, Mrs. Fay Headley Hoy, is deceased, and a sister, Mrs. Linsey Fox, died two weeks ago. Mr. Headley was one of 15 children. Newspaper obituary, Date and source unknown (Greene County, PA) |
