J. Stanley Headley

J. Stanley Headley, aged 53, well known farmer and stockman, died at his home near Kirby at 3 p.m. yesterday (Friday), March 10, 1944, after a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born Sept. 19, 1890, near Brock and was a son of the late G. F. Headley and Sarah Connor Headley. He married Etta Kiger, who survives with three daughters and one son: Dorothy Louise, Mary June, Elma Jean and Joseph Paul, all at home. He also leaves three brothers and three sisters: Byron Headley, of Brock; Fred Headley, of Kirby; Albert Headley, of Washington, Pa., R. D.; Mrs. Gertrude Riffle, of Waynesburg, R. D.; Mrs. Pauline Phillips, of Spraggs, and Mrs. Bernice Wright, of Waynesburg. Mr. Headley was a veteran of World War I, having served overseas in 1918.
