John E. Headley

John E. Headley, 58, of Carmichaels, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 1970, in his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born September 2, 1911, in Greene Township, a son of the late U. Grant and Alice May Headley. His wife, Betty Seller Headley, whom he married July 22, 1939, survives.

Mr. Headley had lived all his life at Carmichaels where he was a member of the First Christian Church. He was also a member of the Uniontown Musical Society 596.

Although a dairyman for 27 years, at the time of his death he was working at a service station. He was a well known musician in the Carmichaels area.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Betty Headley, are two daughters: Mrs. John (Leanna) Rogers, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2, and Carole Sue Headley, at home.

One brother, Orvel Headley, is deceased.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, with burial in Garards Fort Cemetery.
