MRS. HENDRICKS WAS BURIED ON MONDAY P.M.


Died at the Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. O.R. Keller, Saturday Evening


Sarah Jane, daughter of James and Margaret Fordyce, was born near Springfield, Ill., December 7, 1841, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O.R. Keller, in Pierceton, June 26, 1926. Aged 84 years 6 months 19 days.

She was united in marriage to Samuel Hendricks June 10, 1871. To this union were born two children, one son who died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Keller.

While a young girl she united with the United Brethren Church and later with the Christina Church at Boonville. After the death of Mr. Hendricks, twenty-five years ago, she moved to Pierceton and united with the Baptist Church, remaining firm in her faith until the end. She lived her life for others, quietly and lovingly, serving where her path led.

She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. O.R. Keller, of Pierceton; two granddaughters, Mrs. Erma Knull, of Denver, Col., and Miss Mabel Keller, and one great-grandson. One stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Craig, of Pierceton; four step-grandsons and three step-granddaughters. Two sisters, Mrs. Wesley Downs, of Pierceton, and Mrs. J.S. Bonewitz, of Mentone; one brother, R.W. Fordyce, of Arkansas, and a host of neighbors and friends.

The funeral services were held at the Baptist Church on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. B.H. Truman officiated, and the interrment was made in the Boonville Cemetery.

We wish to express to our neighbors and friends our heartfelt thanks for the many acts of kindness shown us during the long illness and at the death of our beloved mother and grandmother. Weare indeed very grateful for the may expressions of sympathy which were extended us in the hours of our bereavemnent.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Sarah Hendricks

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Baptist church in Pierceton for Mrs. Sarah Hendricks, who passed away Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. R. Keller. Mrs. Hendricks, who had been a resident of Pierceton for a number of years, was about 85 years of age. She is survived by her daughter, and a son, Charles Hendricks, who resides in Pennsylvania. Her death was due to infirmities of age. Interment was in the Booneville cemetery.
