FRED L. HERROD Fred L. Herrod, 57, died at his home, 740 East College street, Waynesburg, Monday, Feb. 11, 1952, at 1:50 a.m., following a lingering illness. Born June 16, 1894, at Dunkard, he was a son of the late David and Mary Jane Baltzell Herrod, and had lived in the Waynesburg community for the past 20 years. Prior to his illness he was employed at Poland Mines. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora Fordyce Herrod, and the following children: Harold W., of Waynesburg, Thurman L., at home; Mrs. Jean Efaw of Salineville, Ohio; Wilma and Mary Lucille, at home. Six grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Fred L. Herrod of Waynesburg, who died Monday morning, Feb. 11, 1952, will be held Wednesday, with short services at the family residence, 740 East College street at 1:30 p.m., followed by further services at 2 o'clock in the Waynesburg Church o the Nazarene, East Greene street, with the Rev. R. B. Acheson officiating. Burial will be in Green Mount Cemetery. Friends are being received at the family residence until the hour of the funeral. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, in charge.
