Dr. Charles E. Horne Word has been received in Waynesburg of the death of Dr. Charles E. Horne, 86, of San Juan, Puerto Rico on November ?2, 1962. Dr. Horne graduated from Waynesburg College in the class of 1897 and also taught for several years at the college. He held degrees from Princeton University and the University of Chicago. His first wife was Mary Sayers Horne of Waynesburg, who died a number of year ago. For 30 years Dr. Horne was head of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Puerto Rico, at San Juan. He retired 10 years ago due to ill health. He is survived by his wife, Frances Warne Horne of San Juan, and a son, John Sayers Horne of Troy, N. Y.
