W. Victor Hoskinson, 84, of South Miami, Fla., who for many years was prominent in the oil and gas business in Greene County, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 1969, in the Baptist Hospital, Miami, Fla.
While in Waynesburg, he was associated in the oil and gas business with his father-in-law, the late Samuel Milliken, and his brother-in-law, the late H. E. Milliken. He also held wide interests in the oil and gas business throughout the county and tri-state area, as well as in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. A son of the late Dr. George W. Hoskinson and Mary Parriott Hoskinson, he was born January 24, 1885, in Silver Hill, W. Va. While in Waynesburg he was a member of the First Methodist Church. After moving to Florida, he transferred his membership to Fulford Methodist Church. He was a life member of Waynesburg Lodge 757, BPO Elks. Surviving are his wife, Eva Milliken Hoskinson; two daughters, Mrs. Frank S. (Ellen) Ullom and Mrs. Harry (Jeanette) Penn, Jr., both of Miami, and two grandchildren, Victor and Pamela Penn.
