Bertha Estella Howard

Bertha Estella Howard, 89, of Washington, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 1999, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington.

She was born July 2, 1910, in Cumberland Township, Greene County, a daughter of Thomas Lindsay and Cora Lea Montgomery Blaker.

Mrs. Howard was the last of her family and was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church.

In 1930, she married Mack Howard, who died in 1976.

She moved to Washington following her husband's death, and did housework for several families.

Surviving are a daughter, Jessie D. Osborne McNatt of Washington; two sons, John Albert Howard of Cleveland, Ohio, and Benjamin Franklin Howard of Carmichaels; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Deceased is a son, Carl Arthur Howard.


HOWARD - Friends of Bertha Estella Howard of Washington, who died Wednesday, December 15, 1999, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, with the Rev. Robert Brooks officiating. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
