Arthur A. Hoy, 82, of Spraggs, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 1995, in Greene Co. Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Wayne Township, Greene County, a son of D. L. and Lillie Moore Hoy. Mr. Hoy spent his entire life in Wayne Township, where he was a member of Spraggs United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and worker 33 years for Equitable Gas Co., retiring in 1976. On Oct. 10, 1935, he married Evelyn Eddy Hoy, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Helen H. Rinehart of Oakdale; two sons, Raymond A. Hoy of Great Falls, Va., and Gary A. Hoy of Bridgeport, W. Va.; three grandchildren, Stephen and Craig Rinehart and Elizabeth Hoy; and five great-grandchildren. Deceased are four brothers, W. Edison, Clyde and William Hoy and Carl W.
