Mrs. Arthur A. Hoy Mrs. Vada Faye Headlee Hoy, aged 22 years, wife of Arthur A. Hoy, of near Spraggs, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 1933, in the Greene County Memorial hospital. She was brought to the hospital Friday evening and underwent an operation about 9 o'clock. She had bee ill for three days. Mrs. Hoy was a daughter of F. M. Headlee and Laura South Headlee, and was born [sic] October 19, 1932, to Arthur A. Hoy, who survives. An infant daughter, Ruth Ellen Hoy, died October 16, 1933. Three sisters and two brothers also survive. They are: Mrs. Earl Renner, of Mt. Morris; Mrs. Oren Eddy, of Spraggs; Grace, Homer and Cecil Headlee, of Kughntown. She was a member of the Claughton Chapel Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon. Short services will be held at her late home at 1 o'clock, followed by further rites in the Claughton Chapel church. The services will be conducted by Rev. W. C. Long, of Mt. Morris, and Rev. Elmer Schott, of Fordyce. Interment will be in the Claughton cemetery. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, PA)
