Janie Marie Humble, 77, of Waynesburg, R.D. 2, died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, July 27, 1978, in Greene County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born October 20, 1900, in Springhill Township near Garrison, the daughter of David and Mary Belle Crouse McNeely. Mrs. Humble had lived all her life in the Waynesburg area and was a member of the Union Valley United Methodist Church near Time. Her husband, John Henry Humble Sr., died February 15, 1969. She is survived by one son, John Henry Hemble, Jr. of Waynesburg; two granddaughters, Mrs. William (Nancy) Smith of Washington, Pamela Humble of Waynesburg; four grandsons, Danny Humble of Rogersville, Johnny Bill, Gregory and Frederick Humble, all of Waynesburg; one great-granddaughter, Diane Marie Smith of Washington; one great-grandson, Brennon Humble of Waynesburg, and one brother, George D. McNeely of Washington R.D. 6. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Two daughters, Elizabeth and Esther, one son, Frederick, and four sisters and four brothers are deceased.
