Virginia Wells Jackson, aged 67 years, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, January 25, 1983, in
Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va.
She was a daughter of the late George and Laura Wilson Wells and was born July 4, 1915, in Jefferson. Mrs. Jackson, a graduate of Jefferson High School and the Waynesburg College Normal School, was a former teacher. She and her husband had resided for several years in Lewis County, and Braxton County, W. Va., returning to Jefferson four years ago. She was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church, and was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star chapter in Gassaway, W. Va. Surviving are her husband, Robert H. Jackson, whom she married May 14, 1937; two daughters, Joyce Ellen Jackson and Mrs. Roby (Carol Ann) Young, both of Morgantown, W. Va.; two granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel Young, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Davis of Jefferson and Mrs. Grace Weaver of Lexington, Ky.
