JOHNSON - Bessie L. Johnson, age 56, of 1034 Bauer St., passed away at her home at 4:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 7th. Funeral services will be held from Burns Funeral home , 5840 Hohman Ave., Friday, March 10th, at 2 p.m. Rev. Phillips Brooks Smith officiating. Burial Elmwood Cemetery. Body may be viewed at Burns Funeral home after Wednesday noon. Survivors are: 1 daughter, Mrs. John Kovacy, Jr., of Hammond; 1 son, Air Cadet Robert E. Johnson, in Greenville, Mississippi; 1 sister, Mrs. William C. Shade of Whiting; 2 brothers, Frank Fordyce of Ipova, Ill., and Harry Fordyce of North Dakota.
