Leslie L. Lemley, 83, of Mt. Morris died Monday, March 25, 1974 at 9:20 p.m. in the
Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown West Virginia after suffering a coronary occlusion
Sunday.
He was born July 29, 1890 in Perry Township a son of the late Newton and Sophronia Dulaney Lemley. His wife, Mae Martin Lemley, who he married on June 12, 1912, survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters Edith, the wife of Leslie W. Haines of Waynesburg R.D. 3; Mary Elizabeth, the wife of Jimmy J. Horn, of Lothian, Maryland and Vinnie P. Lemley at home. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sisters. He was the oldest living member of the Buckeye United Methodist Church and was an honorary member of the Mt. Morris Community Volunteer Fire Company. He was a well known farmer and stock raiser and for some time worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways.
