Oliver Evans Lemley
Oliver Evans Lemley, aged 63 years, died at his home in Perry Township, near Mt. Morris, Thursday evening, December 24, 1936, at 6:30 o'clock of pneumonia. He was a very prominent Perry Township farmer. The deceased was born in Perry Township, June 1, 1873, a son of Harvey and Frances Evans Lemley, deceased. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Etta Howard Lemley; a son, Walter Lemley, and a granddaughter, Norma Lee Lemley, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hickman, of Mt. Morris, and Mrs. Ethel Rose, of Morgantown, W. Va., and two brothers, Charles N. Lemley and Frank W. Lemley, of Perry Township. One other sister, Mrs. Ida Stella Fox, died several years ago. Short funeral services will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock with the Rev. C. D. Tharp officiating. Additional services will be held in the Mt. Morris M. P. Church at 2 o'clock.
