Former Mt. Morris resident

Omar Earl Lemley Jr., 45, of 16002 St. John Court, Houston, Texas, formerly of Mt. Morris, died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, August 10, 1998, in Veterans Medical Center, Houston, Texas.

He was born February 13, 1953, in Waynesburg, a son of Thelma Pearl Walters Lemley Anderson of Ocala, Fla., and the late Omar Franklin Lemley.

Mr. Lemley was an auto mechanic and enjoyed golf.

He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Lemley was a member of Golf Meadows Church in Houston.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his stepfather, Raymond Anderson of Ocala, Fla.; his common law wife, Peggy Luccisano Smith; a daughter, Lee Ann Lemley of Serrea, Calif.; a granddaughter; a brother, Robert Scott Lemley of Houston, Texas; a sister, Kathleen Sponsler of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and an aunt.


LEMLEY - Friends of Omar Earl Lemley Jr. of 16002 St. John Court, Houston, Texas, formerly of Mt. Morris, who died Monday, August 10, 1998, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Morris, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 15. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Full graveside military rites will be accorded by James T. Maxon American Legion Post 992.
