Omar F. Lemley, 60, of Mt. Morris R.D. 1, was dead on arrival at 10:15 a.m. Sunday,
April 12, 1970, at Kingwood Hospital, Kingwood, W. Va., following a heart attack while
playing golf.
He was born December 21, 1909, at Mt. Morris, a son of the late Frank W. and Elizabeth Shultz Lemley. His wife, Thelma Walters Lemley, whom he married December 25, 1948, survives. Mr. Lemley had lived almost all his life in Perry Township and was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Mt. Morris, the Masonic Lodge, of Breckenridge, Mich., and the Scottish Rite Consistory of Pittsburgh. He was a former employee of Carnegie Gas Company, the Williamson Shaft Company, and at the time of his death had been a ine year employee of the Galis Manufacturing Co., of Morgantown, W. Va. he was a welder. Surviving in addition to his wife, Thelma Lemley, are his step mother, Mrs. Gertrude Moore Lockhart Lemley; three daughters: Mrs. Robert (Betty) Pierce of Reading; Marlene Marie Lemley, of Franklin, and Mrs. Scott (Kathleen) Sponsler, of Dilliner; one son, Omar Earl Lemley, at home; four grandchildren; one brother, Evans S. Lemley, of Core, W. Va.; one stepsister, Mrs, Charles (Elizabeth) Tustin, of Waynesburg, R.D. 4 and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Earl and Ralph, are deceased.
