Arthur L. Masters, 74, of Mt. Morris R. D. 1, died at 2:15 a.m.Saturday, April 29, 1978, in his home. He had been ill for the past several days. He was born February 3, 1904, in Gilmore Township bear Pine Bank, a son of Nicholas and Mary Headley Masters. His wife Frances Rose Masters whom he married on June 11, 1927, survives. Mr. masters had lived most of his life in the Mt. Morris area. He was affiliated with the Fox Chapel Church at Mt. Morris R. D. 1. He was a retired miner having worked at the Shannopin Mine at Bobtown of the Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp. He was a member of East Franklin Grange 1709 and UMW Local 6109, Bobtown. Surviving in addition to his wife, Frances Rose Masters, are one daughter: Mrs. Joseph (Mary June) Freme, of Westover, W. Va.; one son: Clark Ronald Masters, of Goldsboro, N. C.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Three infant sons, one sister, Margaret, and two brothers, George and Robert, are deceased.
