Mrs. Sarah McCrory, of this place, died at her home on East Main street Sunday morning of
lock-jaw and blood-poisoning. A few days ago she struck at her cow with a small piece of
timber in her hand in which was embedded an old rusty nail, the nail puncturing her thumb
which eventually caused her death. She leaves four children, two of whom are married, and
a wide circle of friends to mourn her loss. She was prominent in the W. R. C. and Rebecca
orders. Her remains were taken to the Arbuckle cemetery for interment.
