MRS. CARRIE C. MORRIS
Mrs. Carrie C. Morris, 73, widow of Milton R. Morris and widely known in Whiteley Township, died Tuesday, March 2, 1948 at 4:40 p.m., in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She was stricken ill Sunday evening and was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning. A lifelong resident of Whiteley Township, she was born July 16, 1874, a daughter of the late Henry and Nancy Fuller Zimmerman. She was married Oct. 31, 1891, to Milton R. Morris, prominent Whiteley Township farmer, who preceded her in death a few years ago. Mrs. Morris had been a member of the Fordyce Methodist Church since early in life. Surviving are two daughters and two sons: Mrs. Jesse Shultz, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2; Mrs. Emily Rose, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4; Allen Kenneth Morris, of Greensboro Star Route, and Harold Morris, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2. One son Ross, is deceased. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Zimmerman, of Greensboro Star Route, and two sisters, Mrs. Oma F. Cree, of Carmichaels, R. D. 2, and Mrs. Arleigh J. Murdock of Greensboro Star Route.
MORRIS - Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie C. Morris, widow of Milton R. Morris, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2, who died Tuesday, March 2, 1948, will be held at the family residence Friday, March 5, at 2 p.m., With the Rev. H. Ernest McNeely in charge. Burial will be in the Morris family burial ground.
