Louisa Evelyn Morris, 86, of Mt. Morris, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 8, 1910, in Mt. Morris, a daughter of Endsley Lemley and Clara Cleavenger Lemley.

Mrs. Morris lived her entire life in the Mt. Morris area. She was a pastor's wife and a homemaker.

Mrs. Morris was a member of the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Morris was a member of the women's ministries of the church and was church pianist.

Surviving are her husband, Charles S. Morris, whom she married August 3, 1929; four sons, William Richard Morris and Harry O. Morris, both of Manassas, Va., Charles Wesley Morris of Mt. Morris and David W. Morris of Morgantown, W. Va.; a daughter, Norma L. Eddy of Core, W. Va.; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Fetty of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three brothers, William C. Lemley, Dewey E. Lemley and Dawson Enlo Lemley; and two sisters, Margaret Merril and Violet Lemley.


MORRIS - Friends of Louise Evelyn Morris, of Mt. Morris, who died Wednesday, March 12, 1997, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home INc., Mt. Morris, and on Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. the hour service in Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Fred Tomlinson, the Rev. Roger Richter and the Rev. Willard Morse officiating. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
