Hester F. Orndoff Hester F. Orndoff, 93, of 53 South Morris Street, Waynesburg, died Wednesday, August 8, 1990, in Franklin Health Care Center. She was born March 9, 1897, in Center Township, a daughter of W. L. and Cora Mitchell Fordyce. Her first husband, Dorsey O. Phillips, died July 14, 1924. She later married Judson H. Orndoff, who died August 27, 1959. She was a graduate of Rogersville High School and received a teaching certificate from Slippery Rock State College. Mrs. Orndoff was a retired schoolteacher and had taught in several Greene County school districts. She spent most of her life in Center Township. Mrs. Orndoff was a member of the John Corbly Chapter of the DAR, The Christopher Gist DAC, the Library Club and the American Legion Auxiliary of Waynesburg. Surviving are a sister, Mary F. Mitchell of Waynesburg, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are one son, Dorsey O. Phillips Jr.;Two Brothers, Ray Fordyce and Howard Fordyce; and two sisters, Olive F. DeLancy and Bernice F.
