Mt. Morris, March 3 [8?], Mrs. Leah Chateline Phillips, aged almost 23 years, wife of Ralph Phillips, died at her home here last night at 10 o'clock following an illness due to influenza and complications. Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of Owen and Nannie Wade Renner, of Perry Township [Greene Co.] and was one of the well known women of the district. Besides the husband and parents, three children survive: John William aged three; Ralph, Jr., aged two, and Louretta aged one week. She leaves the following brothers and sisters; Miss Cecil Renner, of the Cook Hospital, Fairmont and Evelyn, Edna, Fred and Harold Renner, all at home. Brief funeral services will be held at the Bear Funeral Home here Wednesday at 1 o'clock, followed by further services at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Episcopal Church, in charge of Rev. Walter Long. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, PA)
