Mrs. Martha W. Potter Mrs. Martha Watson Potter, widow of R. G. Potter, formerly of New Freeport, died of cardiac dropsy, April 7, 1945, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Felix Chives, at West Palm Beach, Fla. Mrs. Potter was born in Greene County, Feb. 9, 1863, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Fordyce Watson and George H. Watson. Since 1919 the family have resided in Florida. Mrs Potter was a member of the Baptist Church. Her funeral was from the Seffeur Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald, Mrs. Eleanor Chives and Mrs. George Lunsford, of West Palm Beach, Fla. Three granddaughters and three grandsons, the latter in service overseas. Democrat Messenger, April 26, 1945 (Waynesburg, PA)
