Willis Fred Renner

Willis Fred Renner, 52, of Holbrook, R. D. 1, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 1969 at his home following a short illness.

He was born January 31, 1917 at Mt. Morris, the son of Silas Owen and Nancy S. Wade Renner, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1.

The early part of his life was spent at Mt. Morris but he has resided for the past 22 years in the Holbrook vicinity.

Mr. Renner was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1935; was a member of the Holbrook Christian Church, and for the past two years had served as superintendent of the Macedonia Union Sunday School.

He was a veteran of World War II having served with the anti-aircraft artillery battalion in the South Pacific Theater and belonged to the James T. Maxon American Legion Post 992, Mt. Morris.

For several years he owned and operated Renner's Garage at Holbrook.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Mary Margaret Keller Renner whom he married October 17, 1946; one daughter, Cathie, at home; two sons, Gary Owen and Alan Heath, also at home; one granddaughter, April Ann; three sisters, Mrs. William (Cecile) Fitzgerald, Morgantown, W. Va.; Mrs. Burris (Evelyn) Blaker, Mt. Morris; Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Hilberry, McDonald, and one brother, Harold, of Waynesburg.

Two sons, one sister and one brother are deceased.

Funeral services were held Sunday with burial in Claughton Chapel Cemetery.
