Alfred Eugene Russell, 67, of Holbrook R. D. 1, died at 10:45 a.m. Friday, December 21, 1979, in West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown. He had been seriously ill for the past several weeks. He was born July 27, 1912, in Perry Township, near Mt. Morris, a son of Mrs. Goldie Wade Russell of Mt. Morris and the late Eli H. Russell. Mr. Russell had lived most of his life in Greene County. He had resided at Mt. Morris for several years, and for the past 12 years had lived in the Holbrook area. For many years he had been employed in the oil and gas fields. Surviving in addition to his mother are two sisters, Mrs. Donal (Kathryn) Cowell of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg, and Mrs. Robert (Wilma) Pyles of Mt. Morris; two brothers, Dale Russell of Waynesburg R. D. 2 and Milford Russell of Mt. Morris R. D.
