Effa L. Russell Effa L. Russell, 83, of Graysville, formerly of Prosperity R. D. 1, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 1985, in Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg, following a one-week illness. Born December 14, 1901, in East Finley Township, she was a daughter of Oliver B. and Emma E. Fordyce Ealy. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church, the Van Buren Missionary Church, the Ladies Quilting Society and Prosperity Grange No. 1520. On June 30, 1926, she married Fred L. Russell, who died June 10, 1969. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Arlenna) Hainer of Pittsfield and Mrs. Leona Stewart of Warren; two sons, Curtis H. Russell of Graysville and Fred O. Russell Jr. of Prosperity; one sister, Mrs. Florence Chadwick of Amity R. D. 1, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A grandchild and three brothers are deceased.
