George E. Salsberry
More than 50 years in plumbing business George Edwards Salsberry, 73, of Brady Avenue, Washington, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 1999, in his home following a two-year illness. He was born September 27, 1925, in Washington, a son of Floyd and Ellen Edwards Salsberry. He was Protestant. He was owner and operator of George Salsberry Plumbing Co. for more than 50 years. Mr. Salsberry was a member of BPOE 776, Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175, the Arms Club and the Carvers Group of Washington. He attended Washington schools. Mr. Salsberry served in the U.S. Army during World War II in North Africa and Italy. On November 10, 1945, he married Mary Lou Blaker, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joe E. Salsberry of Summit, N.J., and Tim E. Salsberry of Washington; a brother, Robert G. Salsberry of Conway, Ark.; a sister, Amy Elizabeth Shalk of Roswell, Ga.; a granddaughter, Kristin Beth Salsberry; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Jack B. Salsberry, is deceased.
SALSBERRY - Friends of George Edwards Salsberry of Brady Avenue, Washington, who died Saturday, June 26, 1999, will be received in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 28, the hour of services, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Interment in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at graveside by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
