Edith Shade, age 83, 7545 Monroe Ave., Hammond, formerly of Brown Ave., Whiting, passed away at Homestead Convalescent Home, Dolton, Thurs., March 13, 1969, at 7 a.m. Survivors: two grand daughters, Mrs. Ellen Louise Rigg of Whiting, Mrs. Sharon Eickleberry of Griffith; two great-grandchildren and one nephew, Robert Johnson of Torrence, California. Funerla services will be Sat., March 15, 1:30 p.m. from Owens Funeral Home, 816 119th St., Whiting, Rev. Robert Sievers officiating. Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary. Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. She was a member of Rebecca Royal Neighbors and the N. A. Benefit Association, formerly the W. B. A.
