Edward H. Shade Edward H. Shade, 57, of 1522 Myrtle Ave., Whiting, died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Schlater Funeral Home, 1620 Indianapolis Blvd., Whiting, with the Rev. Jasper Cox of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Whiting Lodge 3, F&AM will conduct services at the chapel at 7 p.m. Thursday. Surviving are his wife Emma; two daughters, Ellen Louise and Sharon; and his mother, Mrs. Edith Shade, Whiting. A lifetime resident of Whiting, he was also a member of Whiting Lodge of Elks. He was proprietor of the Shade Coal Co. Hammond Times, January 14, 1960 (Hammond, Indiana)
