Margaret G. Smith Member of First Christian Church of Waynesburg Margaret Garner Smith, 85, of Waynesburg, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, November 28, 1994, in the home of her nephew, Robert M. Smith of Holbrook. She was born March 7, 1909, in Dunns Station, a daughter of Stanley and Jessie Hopkins Garner. Mrs. Smith attended Washington County public schools and was a 1925 graduate of the Washington School of Business. She was a retired secretary and had worked in Waynesburg for insurance agent Marva Patterson. Mrs. Smith resided most of her life in Waynesburg. She had made her home with her nephew in Holbrook since May 1992. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg, the Christopher Gist Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists and the John Corbly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. On December 24, 1926, she married Ross M. Smith, who died September 24, 1986. She was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister, Dorothy Garner Morris; and two brothers, Clyde Garner and David Garner.
SMITH - Friends of Margaret Garner Smith of Waynesburg, who died Monday, November 28, 1994, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Behm Funeral Home Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 1, with evangelist Michael J.
