Wilbert G. (Ted) Smouse, 46, of 291 Huffman Street, Waynesburg, died at 6 p.m. Friday, June 14, 1985, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, of an apparent heart attack. He was born December 17, 1938, in Waynesburg, a son of Blanche E. Fordyce Smouse of Waynesburg and the late Vernon L. Smouse. He had lived in Waynesbirg all his life and was affiliated with the First Christian Church. Mr. Smouse was a member of Waynesburg Eagles Arie 598 and was a former employee of the Democrat-Messenger. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Shirley Stewart Smouse, whom he married November 6, 1973; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Stewart of Waynesburg; one sister, Mrs. Clay (Barbara) Faddis of Rices Landing; and two brothers, Jack Smouse and Carl (Doug) Smouse, both of Waynesburg.
