Edna Lee Sproat, 90, of Waynesburg R. D. 1, died at 8:35 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 1978, in her home following a long illness. She was born March 28, 1887, in Jackson Township near Nettle Hill, a daughter of James and Myrtle Hebb Davis. Her husband, Noah R. Sproat, died in 1964. Mrs. Sproat was a member of the United Methodist Church at Nettle Hill. Her early life was spent in Jackson. For the last several years she had resided in Morgan Township. For several years during her early life she had been employed by Greene County at the Children's Home. Surviving are one son: Laverne Moore, Waynesburg R. D. 1; theree granddaughters: Mrs. Allen (Jane) Miller; Mrs. Rodney (Patti) Barna; and Nancy Moore, all of Waynesburg R. D. 1; one grandson: Larry Moore; four great grandchildren: Belinda, Joey, Bobbie and Alicia; and one sister: Mrs. Sarah Renner, of Wind Ridge. Four sister and one brother are deceased.
