Mrs. Emma A. Sproat As a result of a cerebral hemorrhage, Mrs. Emma A. Sproat, aged 83 years, died at her home on the Carmichaels Road, on Franklin Township, at 12:24 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 1946, after only a few hours of illness. The last of her family, Mrs. Sproat was born in Franklin Township on Sept. 22, 1862, a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Margaret Fordyce Ankrom. She was born and spent all of her life on the same farm where she died. She was the wife of H. Lon Sproat, who survives, in addition to several nieces and nephews. She attended the Coallick Methodist Church. Democrat Messenger, April 19, 1946 (Greene County, PA)
