Flora P. Staggers, 67, of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg, died at 4:30 A.M. Friday,
September 24, 1971, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Though she was not in the best
of health for sometime, her death was unexpected.
She was born August 15, 1904, in Perry Township, the daughter of the late David and Carrie Connor Patterson. Her husband, the late Randolph Staggers, died September 30, 1946. Mrs. Stagger's early life was spent in Perry Township while the for the past 45 years she has resided in Whiteley Township. She was a member of the Claughton Chapen United Methodist Church, the WSCS of the church, Whiteley Township, Farm Woman and the Greene County Foxchasers Auxiliary. Surviving are three daughter, Mrs. Louise Simpson, Mrs. Bernard (Phoebe) Eisiminger, and Mrs. Giles (Laura) Meighen, all of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg; one stepson, Hugh Staggers, of Waynesburg; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Francis Patterson, of Morgantown, W. Va.; and several nieces and nephews. One stepson, Earl Staggers, and two brothers, Irwin and Tracy Patterson preceded her in death.
