Virginia Fern Stockdale

Miss Virginia Fern Stockdale, aged 24 years, eight months, daughter of Ray and Nellie Cumberledge Stockdale, of Holbrook, R. D., died Tuesday evening, May 9, 1939, at 5:30 o'clock, at her home. Death followed an illness of eight weeks.

Miss Stockdale was born September 9, 1914, near Rutan in Center Township and had spent all her life in Center Township. She was a member of the Claylick Methodist Protestant Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Blanche Bramen, of Dunns Station, R. D. 1; Mrs. Helen Singleton, of Oil City; Mrs. Marie Stewart, of Rogersville; Jack, Pauline, Grace, Hope, Faith and Joy, all at home.

STOCKDALE - Funeral services for Virginia Fern Stockdale, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stockdale, of Holbrook, R. D., will be held Friday afternoon, at 1 o'clock, at the home, followed by further services at the Bethany M. P. Church in charge of the Rev. William King. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery. Friends will be received at the home.
