Edna P. Strawn

Edna P. Strawn, 78, of 109 North Porter Street, Waynesburg, died at 2 a.m. Friday, August 31, 1990, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, following an illness of two months.

She was born September 29, 1911, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Thomas William and Ona Dulaney Phillips.

She spent her entire life in Greene County, where she was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg and the Loyal Partners Sunday School Class.

She was employed for several years as a clerk in Edith's Dress Shop in Waynesburg.

Her first husband, George Zimmerman, died April 25, 1935.

On September 14, 1952, she married Carl E. Strawn, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Charles L. Zimmerman of Jeannette; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James (Carol) Long of Diamond Bar, Calif.: one stepson, Thomas Edward Strawn of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Morris (Mary) Strawn of Waynesburg and Mrs. Leroy (Jessie) Pettit of Washington.

Deceased are one son, Paul W. Zimmerman; two sisters, Gladys Moore and Helen Zimmerman; and three brothers, McCann, Paul and Stanley Phillips.
