Albert B. Throckmorton, aged 71 years, prominent citizen of Center township, died at 10:50 a.m., Friday, April 22, at his home just west of Rogersville. Mr. Throckmorton had been in ill health for several weeks. A son of Samuel and Nancy Reese Throckmorton, he was born September 17, 1860, and spent all his life in the Rogersville community, where he followed farming. Mr. Throckmorton was an active member of the Rogersville Methodist Protestant church and for 30 years was superintendent of the Sunday school, having been reelected to that office only a few weeks before his death. Mr. Throckmorton married Almyra Smith, of Hampden, Ohio, on October 11, 1888. She survives with one son, Frank Throckmorton, well known Waynesburg Attorney. He also leaves a granddaughter, Margaret Throckmorton. Funeral services were held at the Throckmorton home yesterday afternoon at 1:30, and interment was in Green Mount cemetery, Waynesburg.
