Margaret H. Throckmorton, 62, of 142 North Porter Street, Waynesburg, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 1980, in Greene County Memorial Hospital after an illness of one year. She was born April 27, 1917, at Rogersville, a daughter of Mrs. Audra Hampson Throckmorton of Waynesburg and the late Frank Throckmorton, and had made her home at Waynesburg for the past 55 years. Miss Throckmorton graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1935 and from Waynesburg College in 1939, and had done graduate work at West Virginia University. She taught in the Southeaster Greene School District for 38 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg, where she was a member of the Tracy Sunday School Class, the choir and the Board of Missions. Professional affiliations included membership in the Southeastern Greene Education Association, Pennsylvania Education Association and National Education Association. Surviving in addition to her mother are two cousins, Ralph Hampson of Cumberland, Md., and Mrs. Loubelle Grady of Cleveland, Ohio. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, PA)
