Alma Jean Turner, 65, of Prosperity R.D.2, died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, February 1, 1999, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.

She was born April 5, 1933, in Castle Run, Morgan Township, a daughter of John K. and Mary Fordyce Pyles.

Mrs. Turner was a member of the former Winnett Chapel United Methodist Church. She attended Lippencott and Jefferson-Morgan schools. She was a homemaker.

On April 9, 1954, she married Kenneth E. Turner Sr., who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kenneth E. Turner Jr. of Prosperity; three sisters, Emma Smith of Washington, Lucy Popp of Columbus, Ohio, and Mildred Davis of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three sisters, Pearl Patterson, Nellie Krupzig and Ethel Holmes; two brothers, Harry W. Pyles and John K. Pyles Jr.


TURNER - Friends of Alma Jean Turner of Prosperity R.D.2, who died Monday, February 1, 1999, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, with the Rev. Allyn L. Ricketts officiating. Interment in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg.
