Catherine E. Wade Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Fox Wade, 93, of Spraggs R. D. 1 (Brock), died in her home at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 1966. She suffered from a heart ailment and had been seriously ill for a week. Mrs. Wade, a daughter of Roland and Margaret John Fox, was born Oct. 13, 1872, in Whiteley Township and resided all her life at Brock, where she was widely known and respected. Known as "Grandma Wade," she was the oldest member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Church at Brock. Her husband, Francis M. Wade, a farmer and stockman, died Jan. 9, 1957. They had celebrated their 50th, 63rd, and 65th wedding anniversaries with open house observances. Surviving are two sons, I. Earl and Dewey F., of Spraggs R. D. 1; three daughters, Mrs. Artie M. Renner, of Morgantown, W. Va., Virgie C., wife of ALbert Nine, of Spraggs, and Mildred M., wife of Willia Blaker, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1; five grandsons, Earl and Billie D. Renner of Morgantown, Willie D. and Philip G. Renner, in the Navy at Bainbridge, Md., and Jerry Blaker, of Mt. Morris, R. D. 1; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. W. J. Lemley, of Core, W. Va., and one brother, Ross Fox, of Spraggs. A grandson Ralph Renner, two brothers and four sisters are deceased. Services were held Sunday with burial in Fairview Cemetery at Claughton.
