James Maple Wade Florida Resident born in Mt. Morris James Maple Wade, 75, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Mystic Conn., died September 23, 2001. He was born June 7, 1926, in Mt. Morris, a son of Maple F. and Lulu Emma Cassidy Wade. Mr. Wade was a Purple Heart decorated veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Infantry 96th Division in the Asiatic Pacific Theater in the Ryukyu Islands. Surviving are his wife, Leanna Ritter Wade; two daughters, Janet Donch of Pawcatick, Conn., and Jane DeMarco of Mystic; three grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Hillen. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 4, in Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Burial will be private.
