Jacob Wells
Jacob Wells, 69, of Ninevah R. D. 1, died at his home yesterday morning, (Sunday) May 6, 1945, at one o'clock after an illness of three weeks. He was a native of Greene County, having been born in Jackson Township, on July 24, 1875. He was a son of the late Zadock and Martha Fordyce Wells. Most of his life was spent in Gray Township, where he followed farming. His wife, the former Oca McClelland, preceded him in death 14 years ago. Surviving are two children: Mrs. Zelma Mitchell, and Mrs. Audra Staggers, both of Graysvile. Four children are deceased. Besides three grandchildren, he leaves three brothers: George Wells, of Jefferson; Abe Wells, of Najorsville, W. Va., and Jesse Wells, of Graysville, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Belle Loughman and Miss Flora Wells, of Graysville.
WELLS - Funeral services for Jacob Wells, of Ninevah, R. D. 1, who died Sunday, May 6, 1945, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, from the Graysville Presbyterian Church, in charge of Rev. L. W. Peters Burial will be in the Braddock Cemetery. Friends will be received at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oakle Staggers, of Graysville, after noon Monday, May 7.
